About

Meet Jean Roman

Designer, Organizer & Storyteller of Intentional Spaces

With nearly two decades of experience in creative entrepreneurship, community programming, and lifestyle education, I’ve built my career around one central belief: our spaces shape the way we live. As an interior designer and professional organizer, I help clients create homes that feel balanced, beautiful, and deeply aligned with their everyday lives.

Design Rooted in Soul, Structure & Story

My design philosophy blends aesthetic intuition with functional clarity. I specialize in transforming homes through curated interiors, purposeful layout planning, and organizational systems that simplify life. Whether I’m refreshing a single room or guiding a full-home transformation, I craft spaces that support your rhythm, elevate your routines, and reflect your personal story.

My background in event management, gardening, cooking, and community education adds a rich, holistic layer to my work. I design with the understanding that a home is more than décor—it’s the backdrop for how we gather, create, rest, and grow.

Creator of For Dragonflies And Me

Beyond my design services, I am the founder and writer behind For Dragonflies And Me—a lifestyle blog dedicated to:

  • Outdoor and garden design
  • Interior decorating & styling
  • Home organization systems
  • Organic gardening techniques
  • Seasonal cooking & comforting recipes

What began as a simple desire to share my own homemaking journey has grown into a source of inspiration for readers across the U.S. and Canada. Through the blog, my podcast, and my YouTube channel, I teach others how to create beauty and functionality both inside and outside the home.

Author, Educator & Advocate for Intentional Living

As a published author of my popular cookbook Lovingly Seasoned Eats, with more than 20,000 copies sold, I bring a lived understanding of how food, home, and lifestyle intertwine. My work has appeared in The Detroit News – The Good Life, Farmer’s Market Today, and Countryside Small Stock Journal, and I’ve spent years teaching gardening, cooking, and home organization in communities of all sizes.

A Life Built on Purpose & Heart

As a mother of six and someone who spent fifteen years in Michigan’s Thumb region within the Mennonite community, I hold a deep appreciation for simple, soulful living. Those values now guide my approach to design and organization—practical, meaningful, and centered on the people who call a space home.
